Text Box: Leaf:  Opposite, simple, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, 1 ½ to 4” long, ¾ to 2” wide, lustrous dark green , glabrous, entire margin.

Text Box: Twig:    Squarish, grey brown with light grey lenticels.
 

Text Box: Flower:  Creamy white, fragrant, in pyramidal panicles appearing mid May.
