Demolition Man
In an early scene in the move "Demolition Man", Sandra Bullock complains about going to work on a Monday. A little while later, we see Sylvester Stallone's cyrogenic capsule with a device identifying the date as August 3, 2032. However, August 3, 2032 will be a Tuesday.
The Gunslinger
Roger Corman's movie ``The Gunslinger'' has been featured on ``Mystery Science Theater 3000.''
The words ``Friday, May 21, 1878'' are imposed on the opening scene.
However, May 21, 1878, was a Tuesday.
Fried Green Tomatoes
In the book Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe,
an elderly woman named Virginia Threadgoode recalls events from her
distant past.
On page 12, she states, ``Some people thought it started the day she
met Ruth, but I think it started that Sunday dinner, April the first,
1919, the same year Leona married John Justice.'' However, in 1919,
April 1 was a Tuesday.
October 1964
In the book October 1964, David Halberstam chronicles the 1964 major
league baseball season. On page 299, he writes, ``On Sunday, September 29, Tony Kubek had a frustrating day at the plate ... .'' However, September 29, 1964 was a Tuesday.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
In the ``Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'' episode entitled
``Past Tense'' one scene shows a calendar with the date Friday, August 30, 2030. It turns out that August 30, 2030 will be a ... Friday. (Some people do get it right!)
