Andrea Celmer - Andrea was a Masters Biology student (and my first graduate student) from Fall of 2006 to Summer of 2008. Andrea worked on the structure/function of the actin crosslinking domain of RtxA. Andrea took a teaching position in Milwaukee. While in the lab, Andrea presented her work at SRCEE.
Kristy Clark - Kristy was a Biomedical Sciences major and was in the lab between Summer of 2007 to Spring of 2008. Kristy completed her BIO 403 independent project in Spring of 2008 on random mutagenesis of actin for the actin crosslinking domain structure/function project. Kristy is a physician assistant student at Central Michigan University.
Matthew Ignash - Matt was a Biology and Biochemistry double major (and was my first undergraduate researcher). He was in the lab from Summer of 2006 to Spring of 2008. Matt worked on the mechanism of translocation of RtxA while in the lab, and completed both a BIO 403 and CHM 491 project on this topic during his time in the lab. Matt was awarded a Summer Scholars Award in the Summer of 2007. While in the lab he presented his work at the Fall Research Symposium, Posters at the Capitol, and SRCEE. Matt is pursuing his teaching degree in Kentucky.
Jules Kumeisha - Jules was a Biology student and a member of the lab from Fall of 2006 to Summer of 2007. Jules worked on cloning an anthrax toxin receptor for expression in yeast and Drosophila cells.
Peter McNeill - Peter was a Biomedical Sciences major and a member of the lab from Fall of 2007 to Spring of 2008. Peter completed a BIO 403 project on the mechanism of crosslinking of actin carried out by the actin crosslinking domain of RtxA. Peter is attending graduate school at Wayne State University.
Pamela Reckow - Pam was a Biomedical Sciences major and a member of the lab in Spring of 2008. Pam completed a BIO 403 project on detecting actin crosslinking catalyzed by the actin crosslinking domain in yeast. Pam is enrolled in the optometry program at Ferris State University.
Michael Rexford - Mike was a member of the lab from Fall of 2006 to Spring of 2007. Mike worked on cloning of the actin crosslinking domain from genomic DNA while a member of the lab.
Kevin Nevorski - Kevin worked on the purification of paramylon from euglenoids. He is interested in both biology and chemistry and may major in biochemistry.
Paul Stewart - Paul worked on the structure/function of the actin crosslinking domain from RtxA. Paul completed his BIO 403 independent project in Spring of 2008. He was a Biomedical Sciences major and on the track team at CMU.

John Stephen - John worked on analyzing the structure of the actin crosslinking domain from RtxA. Paul completed his BIO 403 independent project in Spring of 2009. He was a Biomedical Sciences major and is currently a laboratory technician at the University of Michigan.
Zac Berg - Zac worked on analyzing the effect of expressing the actin crosslinking domain in the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Zac was with my group from Spring of 2009 to Spring of 2010. Zac was a Biochemistry major and is attending Wayne State University Medical School.
Cody Furney - Cody was in my group from the Fall of 2009 to Spring of 2010 and worked on deciphering the mechanism of insertion of MARTX into bilayer membranes.
Holly Grenke - Holly was with my group from the Fall of 2009 to the Spring of 2010 and worked on crystallization of the actin crosslinking domain.. Holly was a Biochemistry major at CMU.
Samantha Johnston - Samantha is working on the biocompatibility of polysaccharide components as skin scaffolds. She was with my group from Summer of 2007 to Spring of 2010. She was a Chemistry major. She was a Summer Scholars Award recipient and has presented her work at Posters at the Capitol and SRCEE. Samantha is pursuing her medical degree at Michigan State University.
