About

Welcome to my personal faculty page!

I am currently a Professor of Science Informatics and Chairperson in the Department of Computer Science at Central Michigan University. In my current role, I teach computer science and information technology courses at both the bachelor's and master's levels. I have also taught courses in engineering geology and geophysics. My research interests include scientific computing and visualization techniques, and is applied and interdisciplinary in nature. Past research has been focused in geoinformatics, geostatistics, bioinformatics, data acquisition using embedded sensors, data mining, computer science education and geology education.

I have been the Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science since 2014. I am currently leading an external search for an Assistant Professor in Software Engineering, so if anyone is interested please contact me!

In my limited amount of free time, I enjoy playing tennis, chess, cello and computer games. I also enjoy listening to music, reading, eating a wide variety of foods and enjoying the outdoors.
