 It is a great pleasure to announce the second International Conference on Statistical Distributions and Applications. Papers on methodologies, applications and reviews related to the scopes of the conference are welcome.


Time: October 14 to October 16, 2016

(Check-in starts on October 14. All sessions will be on October 15 and 16)

Conference Location: Crowne Plaza, Niagara Falls, Canada


The scopes of the conference include, but not limited to

A.    Statistical distributions (univariate, multivariate, continuous and discrete) and applications

·         Methodologies for generating new distributions

·         Properties and applications of generalized distributions

·         Statistical inferences, parameter estimation, goodness of fit, etc.

B.     Statistical modeling

·         Modeling techniques using generalized distributions,

·         Predictive modeling for big data,

·         Survival and reliability modeling using generalized distributions,

·         Techniques of estimation and model selection,

C.    High dimensional data analysis

·         Dimension reduction,

·         Visualization,

·         Techniques of modeling high dimensional data.

D.    Bayesian Statistics

·         Bayesian priors using generalized distributions,

·         Bayesian estimation techniques for generalized distributions,Bayesian techniques for statistical modeling.

Invitation to submit papers presented at the conference for the ICOSDA 2016 Thematic Series in the Journal of Statistical Distributions and Applications (JSDA)


The conference presenters are invited to submit their articles for consideration of publication in a special issue of the journal, Journal of Statistical Distributions and Applications ( ). The submitted papers will go through the same peer review process as regular submissions. The procedure for submitting to the ICOSDA 2016 Thematic Series will be posted when it is available.


·         The deadline for paper submission to the ICOSDA 2016 Thematic Series is February 28, 2017.

·         We have a limited funding to partially support the Article Processing Charge (APC). Accepted papers will receive 75% waiver of APC until the fund is exhausted.

·         After the fund is exhausted, accepted paper will receive 50% waiver of the APC.

·         If an associate editor of JSDA is a co-author of the paper submitted by December 31 2016, the paper will receive full waiver of the APC.
