Habitat fragmentation is one of the major concerns in conservation biology in the US and one of the greatest sources of fragmentation are roads.
While many habitat generalists such as bobcats are not impacted by habitat fragmentation,
habitat specialists may experince negative impacts. We are using microsatellites from Michigan badger samples to examine the population structure of badgers in the Upper
and Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
