Processing small mammals

for genetic studies

1. Transfer the animal from the live trap into a bag for weighting.	2. Check to see if the animal has ear tags	3. Remove a small piece (fitting between these lines | |) of ear tissue for genetic analysis.	4. Place a numbered ear tag (shown in black) into each ear.
5. Check reproductive conditon and contents of check pouches.	6. Release animal (notice ear tags)	7. Watch the animals hop on its merry way
